Volunteer

We are powered by people who care.

West Island Community Shares currently has more than 200 volunteers (committees & events) who are fundamental to the success of our organization and the groups that we support. Without our volunteers, we would not be able to reach out and help the charities that depend on us. Our volunteers are an extension of Community Shares and act as ambassadors for our organization.

At Community Shares we offer 4 different types of volunteering opportunities:

  • Board
  • Committee member positions
  • Event volunteers
  • Office volunteers

Committee member volunteers generally meet on a regular monthly basis.

Event volunteers are people who are interested in more short term commitments of a few hours at different events throughout the year.

Click here for a description of the various volunteer positions available.

Community Shares is powered by everyday heroes who care and who are helping us to build a stronger community.
