PROVIDE BASIC NECESSITIESThe lingering effects of the pandemic compounded by the soaring food, energy and housing costs, have created a perfect storm for many West-Island residents who are now turning to food banks to feed themselves and their loved-ones. The 4 organisations we support in this key area have experienced a sharp increase in the demand for their services and with the current inflation rate, we can only assume that this trend will prevail for some time to come.
From food banks, school lunches, community dinners, food-awareness and nutritional education programs to grocery vouchers, winter-clothing, hygiene products and furniture, these community organisations offer essential services to many families. |
